We are so grateful to discover Valor Canine and Scott’s level of experience and expertise. Scott not only helped transform our dogs but also made us reexamine our thinking as dog owners. Scott takes the time to understand the unique and individual concerns related to your dog(s) and will keep you updated as training progresses. Throughout the training you will gain a better understanding of how you can continue to be successful with ongoing training. Our older dog Bentley was a difficult puppy, full of excess energy and he was extremely mouthy. His behavior was beyond anything we could manage on our own. We took Bentley to Scott at about a year old as a last opportunity for help. Scott was able to help us understand Bentley better and he provided exceptional training that enable us to enjoy Bentley’s full personality. The results we experienced after Scott trained Bentley was so amazing that we knew without a doubt we needed him train our newest puppy. We decided to take Bentley back for a “tuneup” (at 4 years old) after our family introduced a new puppy into our home. Our newest pup received excellent care and training along with Bentley, but what we found most interesting is that Bentley was very excited to see Scott. Bentley really enjoyed the time he spent with Scott because the training is so engaging and positive. Sending our girl Jota to Scott at Valor for training was the best thing we could have done. From the start, he was patient, and clearly knowledgeable about dog training and his facility was clean, well kept with large open spaces. Jota had some challenges with obedience and confidence, but after completing three weeks with Scott, not only is our dog more obedient, but she has more confidence, which has been amazing to witness. Scott’s daily video updates kept the “separation anxiety” to a minimum and he is still available to answer our continuing questions whenever we reach out for advice.
What we really appreciated was how Scott didn’t just train our dog, but also took the time to train us as owners. Scott trained Jota with an E-collar, and he taught us the benefits of this tool and how to use it safely and effectively. The collar has given us the opportunity to communicate with Jota and has helped us to build a stronger bond with her, as ultimately she is allowed more freedom because she knows how to listen and follow directions.
Overall, we have a much better understanding of how to be the best dog owners we can be, and our dog is happier and more well-behaved than ever. We highly recommend Scott to anyone looking for an exceptional dog trainer who truly cares about both the dog and the owner.
