About the Trainer
Von Jäger K9 is a veteran-owned and operated K9 program led by Donovan Hunter, who has 16 years of experience handling and training working dogs. Their training philosophy is based on techniques discovered through actual handling experience, not just learned from a course. They aim to establish the pet owner as a dog handler while not disturbing the natural coexistence between dog and owner.
They offer civilian training ranging from basic obedience to personal protective services, with options for in-home private lessons, public location training, or leaving the canine at their facility for “Board and Train” or “Day and Train” programs. They also create and sell strong, confident, social, Multi-Purpose Canines (MPC), Personal Protection Dogs, Tracking and Apprehension Dogs, and Odor Detection as well as Single-Purpose detection canines.
Von Jäger K9 is dedicated to providing strong, confident, and social working dogs, specializing in military and law enforcement based training. They also offer canine deployment contracts for detection services to safeguard venues, events, or operations. The business emphasizes tailoring techniques to each specific dog and owner’s unique needs and expectations, focusing on training the dog for the client.
Accomplishments
