Wag Between Barks offers K9 Nose Work classes, starting with Intro to Nose Work and Intro to Odor, with drop-in sessions available for dogs on odor. They also provide Manners classes across three levels, designed to teach real-life skills and prepare dogs for AKC CGC, CGCA, and Trick Dog titles. Private 1-on-1 instruction is available, with dates and times set by the client, either in their home or other locations.

Pricing Summary
Trial entry fees: Elite-Select $130, NW3 $175, Elite $180. Payment accepted via check, PayPal, or credit card.
Policies
For K9 Nose Work trials, cancellations on or before May 10, 2025, receive a full refund minus a $25 processing fee. Cancellations between May 15, 2025, and before May 26, 2025, receive a full refund minus a $25 processing fee if the space is filled; otherwise, no refund. If the space is filled with a discounted or free entry, the refund depends on the income from the replacement entry.
Cancellations after May 26, 2025, receive 50% of the trial entry fee if the host fills the space; otherwise, no refund. No refunds will be issued if a dog or handler is absent, disqualified, or excused. This cancellation and refund policy applies to handlers who must withdraw for any reason, including injury, illness, emergency, and personal or work-related reasons. If the event cannot take place or be completed due to reasons beyond the organizers’ control, the host will make their best effort to provide partial refunds after recouping expenses.
About the Trainer
Wag Between Barks, LLC is a dog training business led by Traci Moriarty, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) and Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI). Traci offers group classes and private 1-on-1 instruction, focusing on force-free, relationship-based, and purely positive reward-based training methods. She emphasizes teaching real-life skills to help dogs integrate fully into their families and communities.
The business specializes in K9 Nose Work, a scenting activity inspired by detection dogs that builds confidence and focus. Traci is also passionate about service dog training, having taught public manners for dozens of service dogs, including diabetic alert, epileptic seizure alert, PTSD comfort, and mobility assistant dogs. She has also helped Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) Dog Guardians.
Wag Between Barks offers Manners classes across three levels, including preparation for AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Community Canine (CGCA), and Trick Dog titles. Accomplishments
Traci Moriarty is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) and a Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI). She was the first evaluator in Colorado and one of the first 100 in the country for the APDT’s My Dog Has C.L.A.S.S. program. Traci has extensive experience, including a 14-month apprenticeship, and has taught public manners for dozens of service dogs.
She is certified in Pet First Aid by The Pet Professionals Guild. She has competed in K9 Nose Work trials for 5 years with her dog Murphy and co-hosted trials with the National Association of Canine Scent Work.
How to Get Started!
For classes, clients can check the website for scheduling links. For private training or more information, clients can email wagbetweenbarks@gmail.com or text 970-946-9116. For K9 Nose Work trials, entries are submitted online via the NACSW trial entry form, with spaces awarded by a random draw. Payment is requested only after confirmation of a space in the trial.
