Warner K9 is a dog training business owned and operated by Scott and Meagan Warner, who combined their businesses in 2020. They offer an “adventure style camp” that blends high-quality training with outdoor exploration, play, and learning. Their training is based at their home and training retreat in Grass Valley, California, providing a peaceful and structured environment for dogs to thrive.

Warner K9 aims to help owners strengthen the bond with their pets by teaching them to set boundaries and ensure their dogs receive the necessary training for a happier life.

They are experienced with many different breeds, ages, and temperaments, and specialize in working with puppy owners to provide knowledge and skills for confidently raising new family members after completing a puppy boot camp. They address a wide range of issues including jumping, leash pulling, barking, nipping, biting, potty training, counter surfing, recall, and severe on-leash aggression.

Accomplishments

Scott Warner, the Owner and Head Trainer, has been training dogs since 2009. He taught obedience and manners classes and mentored as an Assistant Dog Trainer at What’s Up Dog Training, assisting with private lessons and classes at Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF), specializing in on-leash aggressive dogs. Scott runs a competitive Dog Training Club for French Ring, has risen to West Coast Zone Representative of NARA (North American Ringsport Association), and is the president and training director of a Working Dog Club. He was also a certified Level 2 Trial Decoy.

Meagan Warner has been in the dog training industry since 2005. She has trained and competed dogs in various venues, including Rally Obedience, Agility, Dock Jumping, Nose Work, and Protection Sports. Meagan has mentored several trainers and attended seminars. She was the head trainer and puppy class instructor for a service dog organization while attending UC Davis. Before partnering with Scott, she managed and trained at a well-established Dog Daycare and opened her own successful Dog Training and Day Camp business in 2014.

Together, Scott and Meagan have helped train hundreds of pet dogs with a wide range of issues and are experienced with many different breeds, ages, and temperaments.
