Group classes are $55 for a six-week session. Wendy offers free AKC Canine Good Citizen testing for her past or present students. She also volunteers her time for testing those working to be certified with Love on a Leash for Therapy Dogs.

Wendy Jeffries Dog Training offers gentle yet effective training methods for dogs, cats, and birds. Wendy Jeffries has 35 years of animal training experience, applying techniques learned from training various species like dolphins, sea lions, and parrots to domestic pets.
For dogs, she provides group classes and private sessions at her training facility in west Hemet, CA, or in clients’ homes. Classes cover basic obedience, puppy problem-solving, agility, Canine Good Citizen preparation, Therapy Dog training, Service Dog training, and Rally.
Wendy is also an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator and volunteers her time for Therapy Dog testing with Love on a Leash. Her background includes founding Riverside County Search Dogs Inc. and achieving CARDA certification with her own search and rescue dog. She emphasizes positive reinforcement and reward-based training, using tools like clickers, treats, buckle collars, and head halters.

Wendy Jeffries has 35 years of animal training experience, including professional shows with dolphins, sea lions, and birds. She co-founded the Bird-Click e-mail list in 1997 and the Cat-Clicker e-mail list in 1998, counseling thousands of pet owners on positive reinforcement.
She coached actor Gary Burghoff for TV commercials involving macaws. In the early 1990s, Wendy founded Riverside County Search Dogs Inc. and achieved CARDA certification with her search and rescue dog, JoJo. She is an evaluator for the AKC Canine Good Citizen program and volunteers her time for Love on a Leash Therapy Dog testing.
Beyond animal training, Wendy is also a portrait artist and co-founded and edited the “Bonneville Racing News” since 1989, having previously set 20 land speed racing records with Doc Jeffries.
