Wild At Heart Canine Academy offers a variety of training programs tailored to different needs and ages. The Private Lesson Membership provides customized, hands-on learning with a flexible pace, building skills from basic to advanced, and includes necessary equipment.

For more intensive training, they offer Board and Train programs. The Hybrid Board and Train is a 2-week program combined with 4 private lessons, suitable for dogs 6 months and older, focusing on habit formation, behavior modification, and impulse control. The Wild at Heart Board & Train is a 4-week “boot-camp” style program for dogs 6 months and older, providing daily handling in various environments to address similar behavioral goals, and includes midway and go-home lessons. Both Board and Train programs include training tools and post-program private lesson membership.

Client perks include Dayschool and Group Classes. Dayschool is a structured program for past or current clients, offering supervised play, group walks, and continued training reinforcement on specific weekdays. Group Class Memberships, like Puppy Prodigy (for puppies 6 months and under) and Canine Mastermind (for dogs over 6 months), provide ongoing practice in a group setting, focusing on socialization, obedience, and real-world application. All memberships grant access to “Hangout with Hanna,” a supervised study class.

Policies

Wild At Heart Canine Academy has several key policies for clients. Monthly memberships require a 30-day written notice for cancellation, and deposits for Board & Train programs are nonrefundable.

All dogs must be up to date on Rabies, Distemper (DHPP), and Bordatella vaccinations for all programs and boarding. Owners must notify the academy immediately if their dog shows signs of illness, and the dog must be cleared by a veterinarian before returning.

For boarding and board & train programs, dogs must be crate trained and comfortable in a crate, and owners must be willing to continue crating their dog at home after training. Clients must also be comfortable using various training tools provided by the academy, including slip collars, prong collars, and e-collars, after receiving proper instruction. The academy reserves the right to reclaim tools if used incorrectly.

Clients are expected to commit time and effort to their dog’s training and understand that continued practice is essential post-program to prevent regression. The academy posts daily videos of board & train dogs on Instagram stories, encouraging clients to follow their dog’s journey, and requests authorization for image use on their social media and website.
