Testimonials
“Kayla has helped train and socialize all of my pets over the past ten years. Most recently, her care and instruction with my senior special needs dog went above and beyond. When Oates began to lose his sight Kayla, with the help of her right hand dog Leonardo, gave Oates the confidence and socialization skills to be brave and to not fear other animals. She is compassionate, nurturing and truly cares for each and every animal she works with.”
– Sara L.
“We recently hired Wild Rose Dog Training for four sessions with our mini Cavapoo puppy, Goldie, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The trainer was incredibly professional and courteous from start to finish, always arriving on time and tailoring her approach to Goldie’s energetic personality. She provided practical suggestions for a variety of behaviors, including potty training, leash walking, and curbing chewing habits, which have already made a noticeable difference in our daily routine.”

About the Trainer
Wild Rose Dog Training is an in-home dog training service founded in 2022 by Kayla Rose Maddox, a certified AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator with 16 years of experience working with companion, farm, and exotic animals. Kayla specializes in positive leadership training that avoids fear, submission, or intimidation, helping dog owners build strong, fun, and reliable communication with their pets. Services include private in-home lessons for basic manners, puppy training, leash walking, potty training, and complex behavioral issues like fearfulness and reactivity. She also offers structured packages for puppies, intermediate, and advanced dogs, plus a dedicated socialization program that takes dogs to dog-friendly locations. Kayla trains her own three dogs with varied personalities, giving her deep insight into different temperaments and learning styles.
She is AKC-certified to administer CGC, CGC Community, and CGC Urban evaluations, and her training emphasizes real-world reliability and owner empowerment through hands-on techniques and homework. All lessons are conducted in the client’s home, with flexible scheduling and no cancellation fees. Treats and equipment like the Easy Walk Harness are available as add-ons.
Kayla’s approach is tailored to each dog’s needs, whether they’re a nervous senior, an energetic puppy, or a multi-dog household with behavioral challenges. Her clients praise her compassion, professionalism, and ability to make training enjoyable for both dogs and owners.
