About the Trainer
WNC K9 Dog Training was founded by Gail Hubbard, who has been coaching humans and training dogs since 1997. The business aims to build awareness about K9 reactivity/aggression, obedience, wellness activities, and sports, promoting an understanding of the “total dog.” They offer an affordable approach to understanding a dog’s needs, emphasizing the owner’s role as coach, mentor, and “peer.”
Their thoughtful learning approach, which includes sports and a K9-manners program, is presented as an alternative to traditional balanced trainers, day-care, or dog parks. They believe conditioning and sports exercises increase interdependence and produce understanding, fostering a collaborative relationship between dog and owner. The goal is to enhance the relationship and make living with the dog easier by integrating them playfully into the environment.
