WonderDogs offers a variety of training programs categorized into Pet Manners, Specialty Classes, and Sports & Performance. Pet Manners classes include Puppy HeadStart for young puppies, Terrible Teens & Up for basic obedience, Finishing School for advanced obedience and AKC CGC prep, Therapy Dog Prep, Reactive Rovers for leash reactivity, and Teeny Weenies for small dogs.
Specialty Classes cover Tricks, Advanced Tricks, Come & Go for leash walking and recall, The Nose Knows for scent work, and Pooch Puzzles for mental enrichment. Sports & Performance classes include multiple levels of Agility (Just for Fun, Just for More Fun, Even More Fun), Ragility (a blend of rally and agility), Rally Obedience (for fun and competition), Nose Work, Conformation – Show Handling, and Fetch.
Most courses are 4 to 8 weeks long, with class lengths of approximately 1 hour and class sizes typically ranging from 5 to 8 dogs. Private instruction is also available through referred independent trainers.

Pricing Summary
Class costs vary from $150.00 to $550.00 for multi-week courses. Drop-in rates are available for some classes, such as Nose Work ($44) and Conformation – Show Handling ($30). The cancellation policy states that no refunds will be issued if WonderDogs is not notified within 48 hours of the class start date and time, and all refunds are at the discretion of WonderDogs.

About the Trainer
WonderDogs Canine Training & Activity Center, founded in 1997 by Barbara Kahn, aims to provide an inviting and fun environment for dogs and their owners to strengthen their bond. Their training philosophy is “Kindness Above All Else,” focusing on humane, easy-to-understand, and enjoyable techniques.
The center offers practical and friendly training courses designed to produce lasting results, helping owners raise well-mannered and happy dogs. They provide a variety of programs including Pet Manners, Specialty Classes, and Sports & Performance training at their climate-controlled facility in West Berlin, NJ.
WonderDogs emphasizes personalized instruction tailored to each dog and owner, creating a warm and friendly learning atmosphere. They welcome all breeds and are dedicated to helping families live in harmony with their canine companions.
Accomplishments
Barbara Kahn, the owner, began her professional career in 1967 and attended Capt. Haggerty’s School for Dogs in 1969. She is a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors (NADOI).
Martha Windisch is a CPDT-KA CNWI with over 30 years of dog training experience, competing in various dog sports and attaining the CNWI designation through NACSW. Amanda Badillo, a 20-year veteran teacher, has achieved four championships and two grand championships in show handling. Janice Campbell is certified in animal-assisted therapy and crisis response and co-founded the Tri-State Canine Response Team. Kim Clark has earned an AKC Rally Championship with her dog and competed in national events.
How to Get Started!
Clients can schedule a class online or call the staff for information. For some programs, like Puppy HeadStart, the first class is an orientation without the dog, where information and homework are provided. Evaluations prior to joining a class are generally not required. For private instruction, clients are referred to independent trainers.
