Testimonials

“Gus came home and his behavior was wonderful! He did not do all the naughty things he used to and he was the still our own silly Gus! ”
– Hugo (age 9)

“Once our dog returned from his 2 week Board and Train with WDK, he was absolutely a better behaved and easier to command dog. The simple tools coupled with Ayesha’s in-home basic manners training has made our lives so much easier and less stressful. We now send him on overnights and brushup training regularly. He ADORES Ayesha. If you are a city dweller, and have a family dog, I highly recommend Ayesha and her team at WDK. 5 stars! ”
– Elena

“The 3 weeks of training Ayesha gave our Goldador has proved game-changing for our daily lives. He has gone from almost completely unmanageable to a dog whose safety doesn’t cause constant concern. Additionally, we can allow him around other people without fearing they will be pushed down by his energetic leaps! Our 3 cats are far more comfortable niow that he is less frantic around them. Thank you Ayesha, Angie and supporting dog family/WDK staff!”
-Deb and Caleb

About the Trainer

Woodlands Dog Kingdom is a private, family-run dog training facility located in a rural country setting on 10 acres of fenced property. They offer customized, 1:1 balanced dog training programs, primarily through their Board and Train service, where dogs stay in the trainer’s home and integrate with their family and pack of animals for socialization and enrichment. Their training combines positive reinforcement with corrections using tools like prong collars, e-collars, long lines, and place mats, tailored to each dog’s temperament and needs. They specialize in behavior modification for fear, reactivity, leash pulling, jumping, and resource guarding, and also provide puppy training, recall, and service dog training. Clients receive written training plans, photos, videos, and follow-up lessons for humans to ensure long-term success. The facility also offers private boarding for previously trained dogs, with pickup and drop-off available. Their unique advantage is the immersive, low-stress environment away from crowded kennels or group classes, with hands-on support before, during, and after training.

Ayesha, the head trainer, has over 30 years of experience and is known for her ability to transform difficult or unmanageable dogs into well-behaved companions. She provides consistent communication, individualized attention, and training field trips to real-world environments like stores and busy streets. The facility is ideal for city dwellers seeking a peaceful, natural setting for their dog’s training and for owners who want to avoid the stress of group classes or traditional kennels.

Accomplishments

Ayesha, head trainer, has over 30 years of experience working with dogs, including training for dryland mushing and competition. She has successfully trained service dogs, reactive dogs, and puppies, with documented transformations shared through client testimonials and social media. She has traveled to Los Angeles to train service dogs in high-distraction environments like Costco and busy streets.

How to Get Started!

Prospective clients must complete a booking form providing details about their dog’s name, age, breed, temperament, behavior issues, and prior training experience. An initial evaluation with Ayesha is arranged before starting any Board and Train or Puppy Primer program. Clients are asked to specify desired behavior changes and training methods they’ve used previously.
