Woods University offers several dog training programs. Puppy Social Hour is a single-session class for puppies aged 10 weeks to 5 months, focusing on appropriate play, manners, basic commands (sit, down, come), leash walking, and managing common puppy behaviors like biting, chewing, and housetraining.

C.H.A.R.M. School (Changing Habits and Reinforcing Manners) is a 6-week basic obedience class for social dogs 6 months and older. It covers commands such as “Sit,” “Down,” “Come,” “Stay,” “Focus,” “Leash Manners,” “Leave it,” and “Go to your place,” along with techniques to discourage jumping and leash pulling. The first class session is held without dogs.

Feisty Fido is a highly structured 6-week class designed for dogs reactive to other dogs, teaching effective strategies for owners. This class is limited to 4 dogs and requires pre-qualification, with no online registration available. Dogs do not attend the first class.

All group classes limit participants to provide individualized attention. Dogs enrolled must be current on Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP vaccines, with specific requirements for puppies. Proof of vaccinations is required at the first class. Woods Humane Society also provides referrals for private, in-home dog training sessions.
