Woof Pack Dog Training

Woof Pack Pet Services offers dog and puppy training classes at their indoor facility. Classes are typically six weeks long and require human handlers to be present. Current offerings for the 2025 Summer Schedule include Sports Sampler, Canine Good Citizen/Therapy Dog Preparation Class, Retail Therapy, Super Dog, and STAR PUPPY. The Canine Good Citizen test is included in the class price.

Pricing Summary

Dog training classes are $275.00. Doggie daycare costs $35 for a single day, or a five-day package is $110 for one dog and $185 for two dogs from the same household. Sunday boarding pick-up incurs a full night’s charge.

Policies

Class fees are nonrefundable two weeks prior to the start date. Up-to-date vaccinations against Rabies, Bordetella, and Distemper/Parvo are required for all services. All dogs must also be on flea/tick/internal parasite prevention. The facility is Fear Free/Force Free and does not board dogs trained with shock collars or e-collars (except for deaf dogs on a vibration setting).

Woof Pack Pet Services offers dog and puppy training classes, luxury dog boarding, and doggie daycare in Boone, NC. Their dog training classes are administered by Melissa Hemmings Helms, an ABC Certified Dog Trainer. The facility operates on a positive reinforcement, Fear Free/Force Free philosophy, prohibiting the use of prong, choke, or shock collars.

Due to damage from Hurricane Helene, their dog training services were closed but are scheduled to reopen in February 2025, with a summer schedule already listed. They provide a safe, supervised environment for dogs, focusing on mental stimulation, exercise, and socialization.

Accomplishments

Melissa Hemmings Helms is an ABC Certified Dog Trainer and Mentor Trainer, having completed a year-long program at Animal Behavior College. Her credentials include AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, Therapy Pets Unlimited Evaluator and Regional Director for North Carolina, Association of Pet Dog Trainers Professional Member, C.L.A.S.S Canine Life and Social Skills Instructor and Evaluator, The Family Dog Private Trainer, Certified Trick Dog Trainer, Cooperative Paws Service Dog Coach, Fear Free Certified Trainer, and Puppy Start Right Preschool Certified Instructor. She is also an Alliance of Therapy Dogs Member and Tester/Observer.

How to Get Started!

Clients interested in classes should check the schedule or email woofpackpetservices@yahoo.com if they need a class not currently offered. A preview day, which is a free day of doggie daycare for training clients, is required prior to boarding reservations to help dogs get used to the facility and staff.
