Testimonials

We hired Working Dogs for Warriors to train our 5-month old Goldendoodle for 3-week board and train. Our puppy came back well trained and demonstrated great skills that he lacked prior to training. He learned to sit, stay, heel, follow, wrong, off, about. We attended the 4 Saturday classes after, and those were helpful as well. Overall, we are satisfied with the results.
– Client

I wish I could give them more stars, however, I do have to mention the lack of communication involved during the whole process. Prior to taking our puppy, there was very little information given to us about what to expect. Mike takes long to reply to texts which I find very unprofessional. […] they only fed him 2 times per day the whole time he was there. 🙁
– Client

They took both dogs for 2 weeks together. Very little communication even though he stated there would be lots of updates. After 4 weeks total, there was no improvement at home. I paid a lot and got no results. I went to another trainer who fixed both dogs in 2 weeks for 1/4 the price.

About the Trainer

Working Dogs For Warriors is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to training and donating service dogs to Veterans and First Responders. They also offer board and train programs for pet owners, including puppy and adult dog training, with optional Saturday follow-up classes for owners. Their services include facility-based training, pack walks, and community events. They provide prong collars and leather leashes as part of their board and train program and offer training in basic obedience commands such as sit, stay, heel, and recall. Some clients report strong results and improved bonds with their dogs, while others cite poor communication and inconsistent results.

The organization emphasizes community involvement and offers free weekend pack walks and events. Training is conducted primarily at their facility in Fontana and Rancho locations. They train dogs of various breeds, including Goldendoodles, Dobermans, Huskies, and Doodles, and accept puppies through adult dogs.

While some clients praise the training outcomes and supportive instructors like Tony, others express frustration with lack of communication, delayed responses, inconsistent feeding, and failure to deliver promised results despite extended boarding periods.

They do not guarantee training outcomes and have been reported to offer partial refunds only upon request, with no clear policy on refunds or follow-up support.

The organization is not a commercial dog training business but operates as a nonprofit with a dual mission of serving veterans and providing training services to the public.
