You and Your Dog offers several training programs including Board and Train, Daily Balance, Private Lessons, and Puppy Pre-School. The Board and Train program allows owners to send their dog to school to learn obedience skills and address difficult behaviors. Daily Balance is a popular program that includes daily training lessons in real-world environments with a training pack, often coupled with private lessons.

They also provide in-home private lessons for specific behavioral issues occurring at home. Advanced training programs are available, including Upland & Waterfowl Hunting and Shed Antler K-9’s, which are intensive programs. The Master’s program focuses on training dogs to be 100% off-leash. They are currently developing group classes and will offer a “Train the Trainer” program in 2025.

Accomplishments

Kristi Kummer, the owner of You and Your Dog, LLC, has been involved in showing and competing in various dog sports since the age of 8. She grew up in a dog show family and has titled many dogs and breeds across a wide variety of disciplines, earning over 46 titles in sports such as herding, AKC obedience, IPO, conformation, dock diving, scent work, hunting, and agility. She also volunteers at nursing homes and hospitals providing therapy services with her dogs.

Their behaviorists and trainers are described as elite, having titled dogs in over 12 different dog sports and rehabilitated over 2,500 dogs. They continue to compete at the world level with their personal dogs and are hand-selected through the company’s training school.

To begin, prospective clients are required to fill out an admissions application. Acceptance into a training program is communicated within 3 business days of application submission.
