You Silly Dog provides customized, individual, in-home training lessons. There is no set curriculum; lessons are tailored to the specific needs of the dog and family to make life easier. Sessions include discussion topics and hands-on exercises, with practice conducted in the client’s home, yard, and neighborhood. After each lesson, clients receive handouts and other reference materials. Puppy “tech support” is provided between lessons for those who sign up for the 4-hour training package.

Pricing Summary
A single one-hour lesson costs $90. A package of 4 one-hour lessons costs $320 and includes puppy “tech support” between lessons.

About the Trainer
You Silly Dog, LLC uses compassionate, effective, pain and force-free training methods based on positive reinforcement. Alisa wants to help you build trust and cooperation between you and your dog, therefore she does not advocate the use of choke, prong and shock collars, or aversive methods such as yelling and hitting. She will teach you how to be proactive rather than reactive, to teach rather than correct, to reward rather than punish, to guide and not force, to show your four-legged friend respect and meet them at their level.
Alisa founded You Silly Dog, LLC in 2006 and has since relocated to Pasadena, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. She continues her education through animal behavior seminars and workshops and is recommended by rescues, veterinarians, pet sitters, trainers, and other pet professionals.
You Silly Dog provides customized, individual, in-home training lessons. They can help reduce frustration, teach proactive behavior, and ensure a well-behaved dog who retains their unique personality. They do not work with fearful, anxious, reactive, or aggressive dogs, including those with resource guarding or separation distress.
Accomplishments
Alisa founded You Silly Dog, LLC in 2006. She became a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) in 2007 and won Baltimore Magazine’s Best of Baltimore for Best Dog Trainer in 2013. She continues her education through animal behavior seminars and workshops and is recommended by rescues, veterinarians, pet sitters, trainers, and other pet professionals.

To get started, clients can complete the Sign Up Form online. Alisa encourages contacting her to discuss acclimating a new dog to its environment and addressing any concerns, as well as starting the training process for the dog’s safety and good manners.
