Youngs Dog Training offers several comprehensive programs. The **Board & Train** program provides immersive training for puppies (8-16 weeks), adolescents (6-18 months), and adult dogs (18+ months), with duration options of 15, 21, or 30 days. Dogs stay in the trainer’s home, experiencing structured training, play, and exposure to various environments. Owners receive educational resources, breed-specific insights, and handouts to support continued progress. Vaccination requirements include Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper, Parvo, and Flea/Tick for puppies 6 months and older, and Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, and Flea/Tick (Feb-Nov) for adult dogs.

The **Owner Focused Coaching** program offers personalized one-on-one sessions for all ages and motivations, addressing issues from basic puppy manners to complex maladaptive behaviors like aggression and fear. It begins with a mandatory 90-minute consultation to assess the dog’s background and develop a tailored behavior plan focusing on management, enrichment, and training. Follow-up packages (1-Paw, 4-Paw, 6-Paw, 12-Paw) are available for ongoing support, with each session lasting one hour. The “Pathway to Manners” is a six-session program designed for foundational to advanced cues, suitable for dogs without severe fear or aggression, covering topics like leash pulling and mild reactivity. Sessions can be conducted remotely or in-person within a 30-mile radius of Chesterfield, MO.

The **Hands-Off In-Home Training** is a day training option where the trainer works directly with the dog in the owner’s home multiple times a week, with owners reinforcing skills between visits. This program includes “Isolated Cues” for specific behaviors (nine 30-minute sessions over three weeks) and “Tiered Learning” for comprehensive training. Owners receive coaching, enrichment education, and ongoing support through videos and handouts.

**Virtual Sessions** are 60-minute online sessions via Zoom or Google Meet, offering convenient, personalized training for foundational skills, advanced cues, enrichment, and behavior challenges. Additionally, the business offers **AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC, CGCA, CGCU)** and **APDT C.L.A.S.S. (H.S., B.A., M.A., PHD)** testing, with Owner Focused sessions available to help prepare dogs for these evaluations.

Testimonials

“You cross my mind every day. Blade has learned the “leave it” to well. Anything he finds loose in the house he brings it to me. Sitting down until I tell him to leave it. Yes, he gets a treat and you’re a good boy. So far in the yard he’s brought me squirrel (2), turtles (4), a mole and a mouse. I’m to the point i take rubber gloves with me outside. Wouldn’t have him any other way. Thanks again for your support.”
– Dottie M.

“Our 1-year-old Goldendoodle was very smart but also extremely defiant in listening to any training methods I tried on my own. Jonathan’s 30-day class was perfect for our dog. He now is 100x more obedient and a pleasure to have in our house! I can’t recommend Young’s Dog Training enough!”
– Chris C.

“Just wanted to say that it was a pleasure to work with Johnathan. I took my dog, Molly to him in 2014 and he was so good with her. Very professional and you can tell he loves animals. Her and I learned so much from him and we enjoyed everything he taught us. I would definitely recommend him.”
– Cherie T.
