Youngs Dog Training offers three main program types: Board & Train, Owner Focused Coaching, and Hands-Off In-Home Training, along with Virtual Sessions and AKC/APDT testing.

The Board & Train program is an immersive experience where dogs stay in the trainer’s home for 15, 21, or 30 days, focusing on foundational skills, coping, emotional regulation, leash walking, recall, and cooperative care. This program includes educational resources for owners and follow-up support. It is available for puppies (8-16 weeks), adolescents (6-18 months), and adult dogs (18+ months).

Owner Focused Coaching involves personalized one-on-one sessions where the owner learns to train their dog. It begins with a required 90-minute consultation to assess behavior and create a plan, followed by multi-session packages (4-Paw, 6-Paw, 12-Paw) that include video playback, handouts, and check-ins. This option is suitable for a wide range of issues from basic manners to complex maladaptive behaviors, including aggression and fear. The “Pathway to Manners” is a six-session curriculum for foundation to advanced cues, suitable for dogs not dealing with severe fear or aggression.

Hands-Off In-Home Training is a day training option where the trainer visits the client’s home multiple times a week to work directly with the dog. Owners reinforce skills between visits. This program offers “Isolated Cues” for specific behaviors (e.g., leash walking, polite greetings) or “Tiered Learning” for comprehensive training. It includes virtual consultations, weekly coaching, videos, and handouts. Virtual Sessions are 60-minute online sessions via Zoom or Google Meet, offering flexible, personalized support for foundational skills, advanced cues, and behavior challenges.

Testimonials

“You cross my mind every day. Blade has learned the “leave it” to well. Anything he finds loose in the house he brings it to me. Sitting down until I tell him to leave it. Yes, he gets a treat and you’re a good boy. So far in the yard he’s brought me squirrel (2), turtles (4), a mole and a mouse. I’m to the point i take rubber gloves with me outside. Wouldn’t have him any other way. Thanks again for your support.”
– Dottie M.

“Our 1-year-old Goldendoodle was very smart but also extremely defiant in listening to any training methods I tried on my own. Jonathan’s 30-day class was perfect for our dog. He now is 100x more obedient and a pleasure to have in our house! I can’t recommend Young’s Dog Training enough!”
– Chris C.

“Just wanted to say that it was a pleasure to work with Johnathan. I took my dog, Molly to him in 2014 and he was so good with her. Very professional and you can tell he loves animals. Her and I learned so much from him and we enjoyed everything he taught us. I would definitely recommend him.”
– Cherie T.
