Your Dog Trainer

I cannot say enough great things about Your Dog Trainer and Roger! I adopted my rescue pup, Charlie, from Mexico. Charlie was about a year old when I adopted him and had not been trained or potty trained. I did not have any personal experience raising / training a young dog. Before I brought Charlie in for training, Roger spent time on the phone with me explaining how to potty train Charlie. In just over a week, I had Charlie potty trained with the help of Roger (not one accident since)! Before brining Charlie in for the 25 day training program, he was lunging at bicyclists and joggers that passed us on our walks and having aggression issues when meeting new people and other dogs. After his 25 day board and train with Your Dog Trainer, Charlie came home a new dog! We are now able to take nice walks on the boardwalk without Charlie reacting to cyclists and joggers passing us. He is more trusting when meeting new people. His loving and playful personality came out, and now loves spending time with his new friends at doggy daycare where he goes twice a week. Charlie learned all his basic commands…. Sit, down, heel, come, place, etc. I continue to work on these with him on a daily basis. Roger also comes to do one on one training with us every other week. Together we’ve taken Charlie to Farmers Markets, the Newport Pier, Dog Beach, and other interesting places and situations where Charlie can be immersed in distractions and interactions with people and other dogs. Roger is extremely knowledgeable and very caring. Charlie absolutely loves Roger and gets so excited when he sees him! Recently, I have been travelling and left Charlie at Your Dog Trainer for boarding and some additional training. He comes home happy as can be! It’s been 4 months since I adopted Charlie, and can’t imagine where we’d be without Your Dog Trainer and Roger. They are the best dog trainers in Orange County!

We are so lucky we found Your Do Trainer! What a wonderful place to board your dog. Our neighbor highly recommended boarding Dakota at Your Dog Trainer about eight years ago. Since then, we have been boarding her there for many trips. We have always been pleased when we pick Dakota up after a trip, because you can always tell she has been well cared and that she had a great time!
