Dog Training Methodology

Deschutes K9 Training Solutions offers Board and Train programs in a home environment, working with one dog at a time. The 3-week program focuses on basics like sit, down, stay, place, kennel, reliable recall with a long line, and introduction to a marker system, along with daily pack walks and socialization.

The 4-week program is recommended for most dogs to create strong habits and is designed for mild to severe rehabilitation and/or off-leash reliability. The 6-week program is for severe to extreme rehabilitation, including issues like multiple bites history, intense anxiety, OCD, and fighting housemates with serious injuries. An additional week costs $650.

About the Trainer

Deschutes K9 Training Solutions offers board and train programs for dogs 6 months and up, focusing on consistency by setting the training in a home environment. They work with one dog at a time to teach practical life skills such as sit, down, stay, loose leash walking, door manners, and feeding etiquette.

The business provides programs for basic obedience, reliable recall, introduction to marker systems, daily pack walks, and canine socialization skills. They also cater to dogs needing mild to severe rehabilitation and off-leash reliability, including those with multiple bites history, intense anxiety, OCD, and fighting housemates with serious injuries.
