Dog Coach offers several structured training programs designed to build confidence, comfort, and control in dog handling skills.
The Team Puppy Program (for dogs 8 to 16 weeks) consists of 3 sessions, available via Zoom, at their Wenham Training Barn, or in-home. It focuses on early training basics such as feeding/sleeping schedules, potty training, crate training, leash walking, setting boundaries, and controlling nipping/barking.
The Foundation Training Program (for dogs after 4 months of age) includes 5 one-hour sessions at their facility or in-home. This comprehensive program covers basic obedience commands (Sit, Place/Stay, Heel, Recall/Come, Down) and addresses common behavior issues like pulling, lunging, and barking. It incorporates crate training, food manners, doorway etiquette, structured walks, and proper use of a prong collar.
The Remote Collar Training Program is a 5-session program, available at their barn or in-home, which includes all Foundation Program lessons with additional instruction on using an E-Collar Technologies remote collar. This program aims for complete off-leash freedom and addresses behavior modification for issues like reactivity, resource guarding, and separation anxiety.
Advanced Training Programs are available after completing Foundation Training or the Remote Collar Program. These include the Best Neighborhood Dog Program, which offers one-on-one sessions to strengthen previous training and address persistent issues, and the Advanced Remote Collar Program, a 3-session program focused on increased off-leash control, responsiveness, and specific behavior issues like counter surfing and excessive barking. Additionally, the invitation-based Social Workout offers small group sessions for practicing recall, meeting other dogs, and working around distractions, requiring successful completion of Remote Collar Training and trainer recommendation.

Testimonials
“Dog Coach changed our lives- the ‘our’ being my foxhound/beagle mix, Buddy, and me.” … “So, to say that Sarah changed our lives is not an understatement. I highly recommend Dog Coach.”
– Deb C.
“Wonderful experience with my 1 year old German Shepherd/Husky mix, Chapo! As a first time dog owner, having such an energetic and excited boy was challenging to manage around other people until Jonathan was able to provide us with the tools we needed, guidance, and support. We are almost done with the program and are seeing many positive changes with each day that goes by. I recommend Dog Coach to anyone dealing with any sort of behavioral stressors with their dog. Beyond thankful!”
– Ina B.
“Willow was an anxious dog when out of her element and we were having trouble managing her anxiety.” … “After training with Dog Coach, Willow is a completely different dog. She is relaxed in the house and out on walks. We have gone on walks as long as 2 miles now where she can calmly walk past strangers and even other dogs without barking or getting distracted by them barking at her. It is the best feeling knowing I can walk her anywhere and we can both enjoy ourselves, especially as the summer days are coming. I can’t say thank you enough. I am so glad we found Sarah and Dog Coach!!”
– Erica M.
