Testimonials

My experience with Doggy Jitsu has been nothing short of extraordinary. I am grateful for Daniel’s expertise and impressed by his credentials. I would not be able to have the relationship and loyalty with my Great Dane without him.

Daniel is a miracle worker! Our dog was a stray, and she is also a working breed (blue heeler), so she was extremely anxious and reactive to everyone and everything (especially other dogs). With Daniel’s help we learned how to best lead our girl! He taught us that we needed to be better pack leaders so our dog didn’t feel the need to be in charge. Now that our girl trusts us her behaviors are far better. Daniel also taught us how to help our dog be in a calm state of mind. Now she is no longer anxious and can socialize with other dogs! She also tolerates her human siblings much better! Before Daniel’s help I thought we would have to rehome her, but thankfully she’s now forever a part of our family. I highly recommend Daniel from Doggy Jitsu!

Doggy Jitsu is wonderful. They boarded my 2 dogs while I was in Europe. One of my dogs is diabetic and needs insulin shots 2x a day with meals- he’s also a bit of a biter. Daniel provided excellent care despite the challenges.

About the Trainer

Doggy Jitsu is a private dog training and rehabilitation service founded in Los Angeles in December 2018 by Daniel Robinson. The business offers in-home private sessions, board and train programs at their ranch, and group classes focused on building trust and respect between dogs and their owners. Daniel uses a “soft science” approach inspired by Jiu Jitsu, emphasizing dog psychology, energy, and body language to address issues like anxiety, aggression, reactivity, and basic obedience. He has over 4 years of intensive experience, including training rescue dogs through the California Department of Corrections’ Pawsitive Change program and working under renowned trainers. Doggy Jitsu also provides pet boarding services with specialized care for dogs with medical needs like diabetes and behavioral challenges like biting.

Their services are tailored to all dog ages and breeds, with programs designed for puppies, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Clients receive personalized homework, phone support between sessions, and ongoing guidance during and after board and train programs. The business emphasizes empowering dog owners to become confident pack leaders through clear communication and consistent training techniques.
