Training runs on four certification levels. Level 1, the Human-Dog Symbiosis Course, is a pet-trainer foundation in the human-dog bond, taught entirely with positive reinforcement across eight theoretical and eight practical lessons plus a final exam. Level 2, Dog Behavior Modification Specialist, is a deeper study of canine mental health, anxiety management, and reshaping a dog’s emotional response to the world. Level 3, Service and Therapy Dog Trainer, prepares handlers for assistance, emotional support, and therapy work and covers the AKC Canine Good Citizen standard. Level 4, University Certified Master Dog Trainer, is the advanced professional program and requires the earlier levels first.
Alongside the courses, the Delta Program supports families through the first weeks with a newly adopted dog and steps in when behavior problems put a placement at risk. The Last Chance Program takes on dogs with deep trauma, chronic stress, or complex temperaments that other trainers have turned away, combining advanced behavior modification with a management plan and intensive coaching for the humans. Free introductory seminars run periodically, pairing a classroom session with hands-on practice.

Testimonials
Aldo is a fantastic trainer. He is an expert at understanding dog behavior. Aldo teaches humans to better understand and communicate with their dogs. I highly recommend him!
– Emili Obara
My neighbor was looking to become a dog trainer and attended one of Aldo Cecchi’s free seminars and learned a lot about how to train dogs properly. If someone is looking to be a certified dog trainer, I highly recommend Aldo if you are looking for some of the best dog trainer sessions.
– Nima Nejad
Aldo Cecchi is the best dog trainer I have ever had training my dogs, and I speak from experience, having worked with many over the years and been sadly disappointed. Not so with Aldo; he absolutely delivers results. I have rescued some difficult dogs who I send to Aldo because I know he gets real results. And the dogs love him! He has worked closely with my adopters and teaches them how to manage so there is no backsliding.

About the Trainer
Master Dog Trainer Academy is a dog training and trainer-certification school in Yorba Linda, California, founded by master trainer Aldo Cecchi. The academy works with dog owners across Orange County on behavior and obedience, and it trains the next generation of professional dog trainers through a structured four-level certification program.
Aldo Cecchi brings more than three decades of international experience in canine behavior, rehabilitation, and handler education. He is the creator of the Tridimensional Method, a framework that reads behavior through a dog’s emotional state, genetics, and environment rather than treating symptoms in isolation. The method is built mainly on positive, reward-based training, with counterconditioning protocols reserved for severe cases such as distress, anxiety, reactivity, aggression, fear, and phobias.
Much of the academy’s hands-on work arrives by referral: dogs other trainers have declined or been unable to help, many of them coming from local rescues. Cecchi collaborates with A Bridge to Home Rescue, the non-profit the academy is a subsidiary of, rehabilitating dogs with extreme behavior and preparing many of them for service, therapy, or assistance roles.
The academy’s guiding belief is that training dogs starts with training the people who live with them. Classes pair theory with practical work, so owners and aspiring trainers learn why a protocol works rather than memorizing steps.
Accomplishments
Aldo Cecchi is the creator of the Cecchi Tridimensional Method, a behavior framework taught through the academy’s certification program and applied internationally to severe behavior cases. He has rehabilitated dogs considered last-chance cases before euthanasia, trained search and rescue, protection, detection, and service dogs, and educated shelter volunteers and professional trainers. He is a Certified Canine Good Citizen evaluator and a professional member of major canine organizations. Master Dog Trainer Academy operates under Symbiosis Human K9 Academy LLC and is a subsidiary of A Bridge to Home Rescue.
How to Get Started!
Call the academy to ask about programs or to reserve a spot in a class, or send a message through the contact page on their website. A free introductory seminar is a low-commitment way to meet Aldo and watch the method in practice before enrolling. For a behavior case, call and describe the dog’s history so the right program can be matched.
