Rising K-9 Dog Training

Rising K-9 offers a variety of programs tailored to individual dog and owner needs. Their Basic and Advanced Programs are available as Day-Trains or Board and Trains.

The Puppy Preschool program is for dogs aged 8 weeks to 5 months, covering potty training, crate training, socializing, confidence building, basic manners, and basic dog psychology.

The Basic Obedience Course is for dogs 6 months and older, focusing on house and leash manners, confidence building, and on-leash commands like Sit, Stay, Down, Heel, Recall, and Place. Dogs must be crate-trained prior to the start of this program.

The Advanced Obedience Course builds upon the Basic course, transitioning commands to off-leash work, including recalling at a distance, send to place, and off-leash heeling, while adding distance and duration to sits and downs. Completion of the Basic course is a prerequisite.

Group Classes are available for graduates of their basic obedience course, providing a structured setting to maintain training, introduce new material, and offer social interaction and exercise.

Rising K-9 Dog Training is a small business located in Howell, NJ, dedicated to helping dog owners and their furry companions achieve a healthy relationship through training. They aim to show dogs that their owners are leaders they can trust.

The business offers a variety of programs including basic and advanced obedience, puppy preschool, public exposure training, behavior modification, group classes, and pack walks. Their training takes place in a dedicated training room at Howell’s Squankum Animal Inn, with access to over 10 acres of property for group classes and outdoor training. Dogs in their Day-School program stay in individual crates in a crate room when not actively being trained.

Accomplishments

The trainer, Claudia, graduated from Tarheel Canine in Sanford, NC, with certification in Obedience and Behavior Modification. She has been a pet owner for over 10 years and apprenticed as a professional trainer since May 2021.
