About the Trainer

Skelly Dogs Training offers a variety of dog training classes and private lessons with a focus on positive, timely communication and mental enrichment to enhance the dog-handler relationship. They provide group classes in Ukiah and Willits, covering basic obedience, advanced commands, and specialized activities.

A key offering is their American Kennel Club (AKC) certification programs, open to all dogs regardless of breed, including purebreds and mixed breeds. These include Trick Dog, STAR Puppy, Therapy Dog, and the Canine Good Citizen series (CGC, CGCC, CGCU). Nancy Skelly, an AKC Canine Good Citizen Approved Evaluator, leads these programs.

Beyond AKC certifications, Skelly Dogs Training also offers “Mutt” classes like Rally, Agility, and Scent work, as well as “Core Commands” classes focusing on basic obedience, recall, and polite leash walking. Workshops are also available for specific skills.
