Dog Training Methodology

Methods:

  • ✓ Balanced Training

Equipment:

  • ✓ E-Collars

The on-leash board and train program runs three to four weeks and addresses leash pulling, hyperactive behavior, barking, jumping, door rushing, and basic commands while the dog boards on site.

The off-leash board and train program runs five to six weeks, introduces the dog to an e-collar, and covers recall, sit, stay, place, and down, plus crate training and food manners, along with dog-to-dog aggression, human aggression, food guarding, separation anxiety, and fear issues, with practice in public locations.

The puppy beginners program lasts about two weeks and covers leash breaking, potty training, behavior corrections, crate training, and food manners for young dogs. Boarding is also offered on its own, standard or with a V.I.D. upgrade that adds extended exercise, leash manners, and basic commands.

Pricing & Policies

Pricing Summary

The on-leash training program is $3,000 for three to four weeks, including boarding and daily training sessions, with half due at drop-off and half at pick-up. The off-leash training program is $3,500 for five to six weeks, including boarding, daily training, and an e-collar, with half due at drop-off and half at pick-up. The puppy beginners obedience and on-leash program is $1,000 for about two weeks, including boarding and daily training, with half due at drop-off and half at pick-up.

Boarding alone is $40 per day per pet, or $65 per day for the V.I.D. upgrade, due at pick-up. An Educator e-collar, priced $180 to $220 depending on the dog’s size, is purchased for the dog during the 6-week off-leash program. They accept cash, check, or PayPal.

About the Trainer

Southwest Florida K9 Solutions is a board and train dog training business based in LaBelle, Florida. They work with dogs and their owners from LaBelle, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Naples, and Alva, offering basic and advanced obedience training, behavior modification, puppy training, and boarding on a 10 acre property.

Dogs stay in the trainer’s home during their board and train program, with no more than three dogs assigned to a trainer at a time. Training combines positive reinforcement with e-collar work in the off-leash program, and owners receive scheduled videos or live stream updates so they can watch their dog’s progress during the stay.

Their on-leash program runs three to four weeks and covers leash pulling, hyperactive behavior, barking, jumping, door rushing, and basic commands. The off-leash program runs five to six weeks, introduces the dog to an e-collar, and works on recall, sit, stay, place, down, crate training, and food manners, along with issues like dog-to-dog aggression, human aggression, food guarding, separation anxiety, and fear, with practice on field trips to public places. A shorter two-week puppy program covers leash manners, potty training, behavior corrections, crate training, and food manners for young dogs.

The team includes multiple trainers with more than 10 years of combined experience training dogs in the LaBelle area. Boarding is also available on its own for owners who need a safe place for their dog while traveling or working, with the option to add training to the stay, and new clients can call to schedule a free consultation.
